Have you ever thought of staying in a church? This is not just any church, but a beautiful little white church that has been converted into a home.
You will be nestled among huge oaks on two acres with the serenity and tranquility that only the hill country can offer. Chapel Home was originally a Baptist church built in 1914. This beautiful church was moved here to Wimberley in the year 2000.
The owner has worked hard to update, but yet to keep as much of the original craftsmanship in place. As you walk in to the house a large iron door welcomes you to an open dining room, living room, and a gourmet kitchen.
Walk towards the back of the chapel you will find two guest bedrooms with soaring ceilings, each with a queen size bed. One bedroom also has a pull-out twin bed. There is a gorgeous bathroom downstairs with unique 4 foot copper tub. The master suite is located upstairs with a comfortable king size bed and a sitting area to look out the window at nature. In the master suite you will find a 7ft porcelain tub for you to soak your worries away.

“Refined Hill Country Charm!”
Our labor day vacation to the hill country was made that much more enjoyable after stepping foot into the amazing and unique style of the chapel house! Everything was thought of and the old style clawfoot bathtubs only added to the romantic feel of the redone chapel. The couches are so comfortable that I easily fell sound asleep on a couple occasions! Sitting on the porch and listening to the old oak trees rustle in the dusklight breeze was as soothing to our souls as any four seasons 1K a night stay could ever be! A stone’s throw to several wineries, blue hole swimming and old town square of Wimberley had us thoroughly occupied with daily excursions filled with family fun. The only slight drawback to staying at the chapel house is that it is a restored chapel with ORIGINAL wood floors that you can hear just about every step …. although that just added to the character of the place for us! We will definitely be staying there again, and likely with more guests as there is a “little” chapel house that is about 100 feet away from it that is also available to rent out! Thanks Randi!!
A few weeks ago I met up with some of my close girlfiends from college for a girls’ weekend in Wimberley. One of the girls stumbled upon the Chapel Home online. Once I saw the pictures I was super excited to stay there! The house was very well stocked and provided a very cozy atmosphere for our catching up and touring the area. It was great that I could bring my small dog with me, and the property managers promptly mailed a small item I left behind of his, too. It was a perfect weekend! Thanks for everything!
