The grounds are well kept with large oak trees, an orchard, a pristine swimming pool with waterfall and a stocked fishing pond.

With beautiful sunsets there’s certainly no lack of scenery to stimulate the senses. Guests can explore the ranch by hiking, cycling or walking the 40 picturesque acres. The kids may even make a few new furry friends during their stay. Pygmy goats, llamas and horses are sure to pique their interest. If fishing is your bag spend an afternoon casting a line in the stocked fishing tank. You’re sure to hook a catfish or two for an evening fish fry! “You catch ‘em, you eat ‘em” is the motto on the ranch, so no catching and releasing here.

Need a break from the Great Outdoors? Challenge your friends to a game of pool in the 1200 square foot lodge. Or, lounge around in your PJ’s and watch movies on the large flat screen TV. On chilly nights enjoy the beautiful wood burning fireplace while reading a good book. For the wine enthusiast, there is also a wet bar equipped with a wine cooler and an additional beverage fridge. Have your friends gather around for a tasting at the bar where there are six bar stools for seating.

In the summer time the beautiful pool provides an inviting oasis from the Hill Country heat. Surrounded by palm trees and a cascading waterfall the only thing melting will be your troubles and the ice in your glass.

The ranch house has two bedrooms that can accommodate four guests each. In the first bedroom, a king bed and a queen futon sofa bed provide comfortable sleeping. The second bedroom is outfitted with a king bed and a queen futon sofa bed.

After a good night’s rest enjoy your morning coffee on the large covered porch while taking in the fantastic Texas Hill Country views. Want a little music to enhance the setting? Just put your favorite CD in the stereo and enjoy some tunes on the outdoor speakers.

The owner of this property is a part-time resident and when he is in town he stays in the big house, (which is separate from the Lodge and Guest Quarters); when he is in town so are his adorable, friendly poodles. There is also a ranch hand that comes around sometimes to feed the horses and other animals and also does general maintenance on the ranch. No one uses the swimming pool or the hot tub other than the Hill Country Premier Lodging guests.
